Beachfront North Phase Two - "The Battle Ground"

Residents in this area of Marine Terrace, Ocean Terrace & Seaview Avenue fought the taking of their beach front homes. The Superiour Court (Freehold) upheld Long Branch City Governments right to take by eminent domain. The appeal, however, had a different influence. Currently back in County juris prudence power and in controlled negotiations.

The court has gagged the parties from speaking about these negotiations. A few sessions were held and it appears no deal has been settled upon. I am in support of the home owners and all property owners, who have to fight to keep.

The appeals court ruled that the process by which Long Branch came to it's conclusion that this area was an area in need of development, was in fact far below the statutory requirements for condemnation that the plan itself is faulty. Hopefully these fine people will win and those who wish to retain ownership and continue to live in their homes will get to do so.

The January Show - Long Branch Pier

I have left the January installment as the lead video because the controversy of building this pier not only still exists, it is growing. Long Branch city council, at it's March meeting voted and approved a One Million Dollar bond ordinance to plan for this pier development. Having no assurance that they will get any State or Federal funds for the project! They opted to throw $1,000,000.00 onto a fire and burn it up, no matter the outcome!
